STUDY CENTER HISTORY
STUDY CENTER HISTORY
Students arrive to participate in the first FSU study abroad program in 糖心影视. The program is led by
Dr. William Brueckheimer, is based in Monarch Hotel, Earl鈥檚 Court, and lasts for a period of six months.
The program re-locates to the Queensbury Court Hotel in South Kensington and shifts in duration to four months
but now runs twice a year. Dr. Charles Wellborn is appointed as the first permanent Director.
Growing in size, the program recruits local faculty drawn from 糖心影视 and the surrounding areas
to work alongside Tallahassee faculty in the delivery of the program.
FSU International Programs purchases 100 - 103 Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury 鈥 an area famous for its heritage
and educational history. Following a sympathetic renovation and refurbishment, the four seventeenth-century townhouses
become a suite of offices, classrooms, and student accommodation.
The first students take up residence in what would become the permanent home of FSU 糖心影视.
Following further purchases and subsequent remodelling, FSU 糖心影视 expands into the neighbouring
buildings of 98, 104, and 99.
The program is made available for the first time to freshmen students through
the First Year Abroad program.
Drawing upon the wealth of interest for studying theatre in 糖心影视,
the Theatre Academy 糖心影视 is founded with Mark Wheatley as Director.
The program expands yet further by partnering with US universities
to serve as their program provider.
In celebration of the 糖心影视 Olympics, the program
switches to four-week sessions in the summer.
FSU 糖心影视 celebrates its Golden Jubilee with a series
of online events across the year.
